By a new technology, the wireless speed of the mobile tower can be increased up to twice the actual speed. This would help the user to talk and hear in the same frequency.

Now the time is not too far  when we could hear and talk in our mobile phones or tablets in the same frequency. Currently two different frequencies are used to talk and hear, which comes under the half-duplex mode. The scientists of Rice University have named this technique as the “Full-Duplex Technology”. With this technology, users can use services of 5G technology in 3G band.

On this technology, India based scientist Ashutosh Sabarwal said that in the latest technique the signals received would be ten times better than the signals received now. To some extent, it would be an advanced version of the 3G or 4G services. The sound waves could be transmitted and received two times faster from the mobile tower.

What actually the technique is?

As stated earlier, the mobile tower works on two different frequencies for speaking and hearing. If this technique is added, then it can use a single frequency for both the tasks. For this technique, no additional hardware setup would be required.

How would it work?

For this technique, the scientists have fitted an antenna on to the mobile tower and by some computing technique in a single frequency, both the tasks are performed. This special antenna known as “MIMO” works in multiple input and multiple output principle.
