iRoom iDock will have two models, a portrait and a landscape depending up on which model does the user want. The dock has a an iPad intake, Faceplate and a docking connection. For automated open/close mechanism, the iDock has a Proximity sensor which on sensing the user near the dock, will automatically trigger the motorized dock to open its door. Once opened, the door of the dock automatically closes after 10 seconds. Users also have the option to turn off the proximity sensor through a proximity- sensor button present on the faceplate.
The iRoom iDock has built-in features like audio connections, battery charger, and other composite connections. The iPad when connected with the dock is charged and when there is power-cut the dock automatically opens so that the iPad does not get trapped inside the dock. iRoom iDock is also compatible with iPad1 and iPad2. The iPad1 can be made compatible in the landscape mode with the use of guide rails, whereas the iPad2 can be befitted in to the iDock by just using the tailored insert.
